Latchmere Grove - posted by Tricia
Latchmere Grove Battersea should be on the map, but it has dissapeared. My grandmother and mother lived there in 1940. Was it bombed in the war?
Does anyone know the fate of Latchmere Grove Battersea?

Just in the process of building our Family Tree. It would appear that my family lived in a number of houses in Latchmere Grove. So far 69, 120 and 121, over period 1880-1910ish. Smith/charman/Sprosen. Any connections on here?

My great great grandparents lived at number 21 Latchmere grove. John and Laura Chandler, my grand father Billy Daintree and his brother tom and sisters Florence and marjorie lived with them when their parents died at a young age.
Here is a picture of John and Laura Chandler outside 21 latchmere Grove. They have bunting up and looks like a poster of the king and queen in the background.

I also have a picture of them with bunting up, a lot older celebrating the queens coronation. In 1953

Here is a picture outside 21 latchmere Grove with my grandfather Bill his sister Marjorie and cousin Babe.

Would love to see some pictures of the actual Street.

Hello! also doing some family research, and my Great Grandad lived at 20 Latchmere Grove.
Our relatives possible knew each other.
Charles Edward Mead was born there in 1896. Parents were Edward Mead and Clara Evans.
Was this a rough area to live in?
Any info. or pics would be greatly appreciated.

Take care,

David Hodds
