One of my fondest memories is one particular day when I was seven years old, and my father took us to Woburn Safari Park during the summer holidays.
We never went on many day trips as a child and everything seemed to go right. All the problems my family have had seemed so far away. My parents were happy all day long and my brothers and sisters hadn't laughed so much in ages.
I remember sitting in the car when a Bengal tiger sidled up to the car and started to lick the windows on my mother's side, they started to scream and we all shouted at my dad to keep the car there.
I think we enjoyed scaring my mum for a while; everyone seemed so full of life. I'm the eldest of my brothers and sisters but my younger sister was always taller than me when we were kids.
One of the rides was a pirate ship that swung around 360 degrees and you had to be above a certain height to get onto it. Imagine my shame when the man covering admissions wouldn't let me on, but allowed my younger sister to go.
At that age you are very competitive, and she didn't stop ribbing me about it for ages. But I got my own back an hour later when I got her to stand in front of the logflume after buying her an ice cream.
And then when it came down the ramp, all the water went over her, the ice cream was ruined, and my parents weren't too happy. But I left the park that day with a smile on my face.
