My name is Sylvia King and I am the firstborn grandchild of Clifford Ernest King and Nina Mary King(m.n Adderton)They were wed(16th of march 1943) and lived in Worthing.(11 Chatham road) They had only one child, my father; Roger G.Jerome King(23rd of april 1940) Thank God he was reproductive, or the story would have ended here. He married my mother Amanda Astrid King(Bjerkeng) and had 3 children. We lived a few years in Sullington way, in Shoreham by sea before mooving to Norway in 1971.The family has since Roger, grown by 10 individuals; 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
I am desperatly seeking my grandfathers roots and background, as we know next to nothing about that side of the family. My father sadly died in 1995 in cancer and his mother, my grandmother, Nina Mary King, died only a few years after. We have no one to ask about our background, and only remember the stories they told when they were still alive. We are however fortunate enough to have loads of photos. And I will try to add a few here, that I have managed to scan unto my computer.
