Angie Beaumont (nee Turner) was born in Coventry on 19th October 1970 and has lived there ever since.

I went to Ernesford Grange Infants and Junior school, in Foxton Road and then on to Ernesford Grange Secondary School in Princethorpe Way.

After leaving school at 16, I did a training course at a Secretarial College called JHP Training. My first placement was at a company called Powell and Company and they were and Investment and Mortgage centre, giving advice on all money matters. I did general office duties.

Around this time I was old enough to take my exams to become a trained swimming teacher. I had helped out with young kiddies swimming lessons after school for 3 years or so, but had to wait till I was 16 to take the exams.

In 1993 I married Mike Turner. I have an interest in amateur radio (due to husband's hobby). I did sit two exams to obtain my operating licence in 1996, but unfortunately failed one part of the exam. Have never re-sat as decided to start a family after that and now have a 4 year old son, Adam, who started school full time this week.

Angie Beaumont, Coventry, 2001.

Angie has vivid memories of a holiday down south to the Isle of Wight when she was just five years old, and those reminiscences can be found in that section of this website, under Blackgang Chine.
