Latchmere Grove - posted by Sarah
I was born and lived in 15 LG until I was 5. Grand-parents Howe, parents Martin, neighbours Cook. Has anyone any info re picture images of the Grove before it was demolished? Friends bought an identical house in Tooting which is worth a small fortune. So sad families were dispersed and those houses and gardens demolished. They only needed decent plumbing!

My great great grandparents lived at number 21 Latchmere grove. John and Laura Chandler, my grand father Billy Daintree and his brother tom and sisters Florence and marjorie lived with them when their parents died at a young age.
Here is a picture of John and Laura Chandler outside 21 latchmere Grove. They have bunting up and looks like a poster of the king and queen in the background.

I also have a picture of them with bunting up, a lot older celebrating the queens coronation. In 1953

Here is a picture outside 21 latchmere Grove with my grandfather Bill his sister Marjorie and cousin Babe.
