Geoghan, Paddison, Gagan, Copelands
Seeking any descendants of my English relatives, gt grandmother was Louisa Paddison, she married Stephen Geoghan (in Stafford 1866) in 1881 Louisa & her children were in the Stoke on Trent workhouse.
In 1885 the children except for eldest son Patrick, were sent to Canada. My grandfather, his surname changed to Gagan, left Canada with his wife & daughter in 1900 and went to Scotland.
Sisters, Grace & Laura remained in Canada. Grace married Augustus Gartland, sadly three of her children died in 1903. She died in 1931, would love to contact any descendants.
Laura may have married after 1901, but at present married name unknown. She was still in Ontario in 1901 working for the Lally family, anyone know of her?
Copelands also, from Derby, gt grandmother was Mary Hannah Copeland, she married George Nelson Grant. Lost trace of her after 1881, does anyone know of her? when did she die and where. Did she have another partner after 1881, George had another wife Annie ? from 1891 until he died in 1919 in Leicester, does anyone know of Annie his "wife" what was her surname?
my grandmother was Mabel Grant b.1874 in Derby she died in 1941 Scotland. I would love to have more information about her mother Mary Hannah, can anyone help? please contact me if you kno anything, thank you
