1. Introduction
PastTimesProject.co.uk is a not for profit website run by historian author & nostalgia writer Rob Blann.

2. What information do we collect from you?
Account creation: Username, Password, Names & e-mail address.
Find Past Friends public profile: Name, date of birth. Optional further information - nickname, Maiden name, place of birth, previous addresses, Schools, Colleges & Universities attended, Where you have worked, Where you have served in the Forces (if applicable) and state which outfit, People you knew from years ago & 'further information' which members are free to add anything they wish to provide.
Find Past Friends optional private information: current address, e-mail, telephone number.
If you create an account on PastTimesProject.co.uk, we will collect basic information from you to create the account consisting name, e-mail address, username and a password. Some sections of the site allow members to upload further information about themselves to share with other members for the purpose of finding past friends/colleagues
Lifestory Library: Member created information.
Heritage Visits: Information relating to heritage attractions only, no personal information collected.
Gene Junction: Name, member created information.
Seeking Companions: Member created information.
Nostalgia Knowledge: Member created information.
Seeking Lost Persons: Name of lost person, member created information.
Nostalgia Shop: No personal information is collected through the website. Payment is made through PayPal who then provide us with the buyer's name and address for the delivery of purchased goods. Your IP address is automatically collected by the webserver and saved in access/error logs.

3. How do we use the information collected?
We use the information to manage member's accounts and to provide requests from other members for help finding people, relatives and companions as well as to pass on knowledge and personal experiences of life in Great Britain to other readers.

4. What if I don't provide some or all of the information requested?
This will impact on our ability to provide the services the website is intended for and you may not be able to use some of the features.

5. Will we share your information?
We do not sell or share information with third parties other than within the use of the website between users & members or where required to do so in a request from law enforcement agencies.
Where members have completed entries in any of the 7 sections of the website (Find Past Friends, Lifestory Library, Heritage Visits, Gene Junction, Seeking Companions, Nostalgia Knowledge, Seeking Lost Persons) that information will publicly viewable to other users & members of the website.
Where users have made a purchase through the Nostalgia Shop, name & address information will be passed on to Royal Mail or a courier in order to fulfil delivery of the order.

6. Lawful Basis for Processing Personal Data
Account creation: Contract in order to provide services to you.
Order fulfilment: Contract and legal obligation.
Display of member generated content: Legitimate interest.
IP address: Our legitimate interest to protect and maintain access and the integrity of the website.

7. How is my personal data safe?
All traffic through the site is sent over a secure encrypted connection using SSL.
Database backups are stored in an encrypted format.

8. Where is my data stored?
The website server is located in the U.K..
Backup data is also stored in the U.K..

9. Marketing
We do not participate in marketing of any kind.

10. Your rights regarding your personal information
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under Data Protection Legislation in relation to your personal data.
These include the right to:
