A while ago I inherited a lot of postcards from my Aunt.They are amost interesting social and family history.They cover a period from 1908-1940.During this time my aunt was 'in service'.I have decided to write about mu Aunt using these postcards as a basis for her life during this time.My problem is getting a background for the background ...so to speak.
I wondered if anyone has any information about Bloxworth Rectory,or any idea of the life of a scullery maid at a rectory in 1928 my Aunt's first job.There seem to be a lot of info about victorian servants ,but I need a bit my time is really between the two wars.Thanks Shirley
