Can anybody out there tell me why the spelling changed from Pomeroy to Pummeroy? My GG Grandfather is spelt Pomeroy and yet his children had theirs changed. They changed the spelling between 1850 to 1865. Sometime after immigrating in 1850/1851. They immigratd from London,
Middlesex area. Thanks for your help.
