this would have been an advertising slogan on television "stop me and buy one " can anyone tell me what product it was used for?

I can't believe that no-one else has responded.
This was used for ice-cream and if I remember correctly, it was Mr Whippy.

Stop me and buy one was indeed linked to ice cream-sellers, who went around on bikes. Long before T.v. Karen. Hope this helps.
